Packing Guide & Inspiration
Packing correctly is essential for protecting your items from damage and will make unpacking easier once in your new home
No matter what part of the house you’re packing, what you’re moving or how far you’re going, make sure you have all the necessary material to organize and safeguard your belongings.
If you’re confused about which professional material you need, don’t worry, the list below of moving boxes and their purposes will help you determine the appropriate boxes for your belongings and the videos will show you how to pack correctly your belongings.
1.5 cu.ft cartons
Small carton (Size: 16" x 10" x 10“) for heavy items such as books, files, music CDs and DVDs/video tapes.
3.0 cu.ft cartons
Medium utility carton (Size: 18" x 14" x 12" ) often used for pots and pans, toys, and small appliances.
4.5 cu.ft. cartons
Large carton (Size: 20" x 20" x 15“) used for bulky items, such as linens, towels or toys or lightweight articles, such as pillows or large lampshades
Wardrobe Cartons
These cartons (Size: 20" x 20" x 34") are "portable closet" that keeps clothes hanging on a built-in bar
TV Boxes
Several sizes for TV size between 32” and 70”. These boxes generally have foams inserts for better protection.
Mirror Cartons
The Mirror Box are ideal for storing, packing and moving framed items such as paintings, mirrors and artwork.
Dish pack
Heavy duty carton (size 18 x 18 x 28) . This box has double extra thick walls specifically designed for dishes, vases, glasses and other fragile items.
Mattress Bags/Cartons
Available in queen/king, double, single (twin) and crib sizes. A separate carton is necessary for box springs.
Packing Supplies
Besides moving boxes you will also need: Bubble wrap:(Ideal for moving and protecting fragile items),stretch wrap: (a special plastic covering that safely adheres to furniture and protects it from snags, tears, and dirt). You will also need packing tape and markers to close & label your boxes
